Plant Science

Freshmen

Course work introduces students to concepts related to plant science, house plants, soils and tractor driving. Students will be introduced to and participate in the Lyman Hall FFA Chapter. An additional component includes the development of a portfolio and skills to prepare them for future careers in plant science. 


Sophomores

Course work introduces students ornamental plants, fall flower gardening, plant propagation, annuals and vegetables and continues to build their understanding of the holiday shop in December. Students participate in the Lyman Hall FFA Chapter and continue to develop a portfolio and identify skills to prepare for college and future careers in plant science.


Juniors

Course work introduces students to flower design, holiday shop and landscape design and maintenance. Students participate in the Lyman Hall FFA Chapter and continue to develop a portfolio and skills to prepare for college and future careers in plant science.


Seniors

Course work includes garden center greenhouse management, holiday shop, current trends in agriculture and flower design. Students participate in the Lyman Hall FFA Chapter and continue to develop a portfolio and build skills to prepare for

college and future careers in plant science.
