What's Right with Schools:

Welcome to the Vernon E. Cleaves Agriculture Science and Technology program at Lyman Hall High School. This website is for prospective students and their parents to learn more information about our program, current students and their parents to stay abreast of events and FFA activities and for the public to gain information about our plant sales and spring Ag Fair.

What is Agricultural Science?

Agricultural Science is a hands-on program that supplements a regular academic curriculum. Students choose one agricultural field to specialize in for their four years. They learn through classroom and laboratory instruction while developing skills to apply this knowledge in real world settings.

Agriculture Science and Technology, formerly known as Vocational Agriculture or
Vo-Ag, is a program available to high school students interested in agriculture or agriculturally related fields. The following areas are offered at Lyman Hall:
Agricultural Mechanics/ Landscape Management
            Food Science
            Large Animal Technology
            Plant Science
            Small Animal Technology
            Wildlife Biology

Agricultural Education provides career readiness as well as prepares students for post secondary education. The three components to the Agricultural Education program include Instruction, Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) and the National FFA Organization. These components work together to provide optimal opportunities for all students and develop a well-rounded individual.
